What is the structure of the roller guide?

1. Ball guide. The guide rail uses balls as the rotating body, which has good motion vividness and high positioning. However, its bearing capacity and rigidity are relatively small. Generally, it is required to improve the bearing capacity and rigidity through pre-tightening. In order to avoid losing precision due to pressing pits on the guide rail, hardened steel production guide rail surface is generally accepted. The ball guide is suitable for CNC machine tools with small moving parts and small cutting force.

2. Roller guide. The bearing capacity and rigidity of the guide rail are larger than those of the ball guide rail, but the requirements for installation are also high. Poor placement, will cause offset and lateral sliding, so that the guide rail wear acceleration, reduce the accuracy. At present, CNC machine tools, especially those with large loads, usually accept roller guides.

3. Needle roller guide. Needle roller guide than the same diameter of the roller roller length needs to be longer. The characteristics of the needle roller guide are small size and compact layout. The needle roller guide is suitable for machine tools with limited guide rail size.

The guide rail can be divided into sliding guide rail, rolling guide rail, hydrostatic guide rail, air floating guide rail and magnetic floating guide rail according to the friction nature of the rail surface. The sliding guide has simple structure, good rigidity, large friction resistance, fast continuous operation and wear, and high requirements for the rail surface scraping process in manufacturing. The static friction factor of the sliding guide rail is very different from the dynamic friction factor, so the crawling phenomenon may occur at low speed.

Sliding rails are often used in the bed rails of various machine tools. In heavy machinery, several cross-sectional styles are often used in combination to share the benefits of guidance and support.

Roller guide is placed between the moving part and the supporting part of the rolling body, such as ball, roller, needle roller or rolling bearing. The advantages of the rotating guide rail are: the conflict coefficient is not more than 1/10 of the conflict coefficient of the sliding guide rail, the difference between the static conflict factor and the dynamic conflict factor is small, the crawling phenomenon is not easy to occur, the low-power electric motor can be used to drag, the positioning accuracy is high, and the service life is long.
